What's my story?

The decision to become an independent travel advisor was a long one coming. 

When my daughter was born I made the decision to be a stay at home parent. It was a decision that required a lot of sacrifice - sacrifices I wasn't even aware I was making at the time. But I made it work and I got creative with our lifestyle in order to keep traveling even when money got tight.

Travel has been a very important part of my life. I feel uncomfortable when I don't have a trip booked (or at least one that is being planned in the back of my head). I guess that would be how you describe “wanderlust”.

When my girls decided to make the switch from homeschool to high school, I was left feeling unsure of myself and a bit lost. But I pulled myself up and I went on a journey of self discovery to figure out what I wanted my next season of life to look like. 

After a couple of false starts, the lightbulb when off and I just knew becoming a travel advisor was the right path. Why travel planning didn't come first to mind, I have no idea.

I was meant to be a travel advisor. From my affinity for organization (much to the annoyance of my husband) to my genuine love for the world and it's people, this career allows me to truly be myself (Mickey Ears and everything).
